I might be almost 40... ok I am 36 but thats closer to 40 than 30 🤣.... but nothing makes you feel like you are 20 again and back in your college cheer days than challenging yourself with a variety of handstands.

it takes all kinds of core strength, upper body, and learning how to squeeze it all in while relaxing in order to do these 🤣

I can think of SO many things to spend $160 on. 🤔 .

Eating out🍱, shoes👠, clothes👖, treats🍭, organization for the home🛏, wine🍷by the Gallon, purses👜, mani pedis💅, getting my hair done 💇🏼, etc. the list goes on and on. 📝 .

And I actually used to DO and BUY all of that stuff when I was BROKE! I have NO IDEA where I was finding this money (because I was legit broke), but I’m a firm believer that we CREATE the resources for the things we want. Whether it’s time, money, or whatever else. When we want something, we make it happen. .

And NONE of those things ever changed my life. I’ve NEVER looked at one of my purses and thought “wow—if I hadn’t bought that purse I have no idea where i’d be today!” .

But that’s EXACTLY how I feel about the investment I made in my health and my business. And if we’re being honest, it was only an investment in ME since all I paid for was my workout program and my Superfood shake. And from there I was able to build and lay the foundation for a multiple six and (eventually) seven figure a year business. 👐 .

Crazy right? But these are the things I think about when people tell me they DESPERATELY want a life of freedom (freedom of time AND finances). They desperately need to get healthy. They desperately want to lose weight. They don’t feel good about themselves. They feel like they are sinking into a bottomless pit of nothingness. But they don't want to make the investment. ALL of those things are the things that MADE ME take the chance on myself. .

I’ve spent $160 on a LOT of things in my life, but none of them ever CHANGED. MY. LIFE..until I decided to invest it in ME. . . .

I don't have to restrict food groups. that's miserable and not sustainable to never have a cinnamon roll ever again. 🤣. or fries.. or mashed potatoes...or REAL bread!

Your choices come from empowerment and enjoyment, not deprivation or hating yourself after (and moving more into the dieting mentality). such a full day today!!... virtual army training with an afternoon full of calls, working on my beachbody business and listening to a call right now, Costco run, one kid to the dentist, clean the house, read a few more chapters of my book before the author speaks on our team call Monday, and get my workout in within all that.

we can tout being busy as the reason we don't take care of ourselves or get everything done, but there is always a way to do it all. How you ask?
1. make a decision of what needs to be done
2. make a list to work off of. I have my army list, beachbody list, and house list
3. block out times when you will accomplish what tasks. I have scheduled calls and appointments, why wouldn't I schedule my workout in as well? I am equally as important!

How do you stay on task when you have a lot going on?

there was a time when our coffee table was also our kitchen table. we literally put the couch, our bed, and coffee table on a credit card so we had something to sleep on and eat on. we were THAT broke.

our bank account was always in the negative, we floated checks to pizza hut so we could eat, and WIC was our only source of "healthy" food.

so when someone says they are broke... I GET IT.

but I wasnt going to let that be it for me. I had a bigger purpose in life and my kids deserved better.

i was skeptical when i was approached about being a beachbody coach, but I knew in my gut that this would give me that freedom to provide for my kids.

I was determined to earn back my sign up costs that month and I did! sometimes you have to trust in yourself that you will put in the work to giving your family the life you desire.

I know I did. and that girl that floated checks to eat now earns multiple 6 figures a year because she trusted her gut and wanted something more out of life and nothing was going to stop her.

so what's stopping you?

When I was 18, I was a push up BEAST. seriously, I could easily do 80 pushups in 2 minutes. I'm sure drill sergeants hated when they would tell me to do 40 push ups and I was like "uhhh thats it? ok!" .
fast forward 18 years... and they are not so easy anymore..between shoulder injuries, feet issues, surgery, and just plain getting older, I was having to modify to my knees the past year. AND thats OKAY!! But I challenged myself this year to stop playing it safe (I was secretly hiding behind injuries that were no more to not even trying to go all out) and really gain the strength back... between barre blend and 6 weeks of the work, I am able to do push ups on my toes again without pain in my shoulders or feet 🙌.

no matter where your journey is currently, you can always improve but don't be afraid to modify when you need to....and know when you can challenge yourself, do it! the only way to progress is to be challenged and not hide in what's comfortable.
